A female pedestrian in Scarborough has been critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Monday evening.
According to Toronto police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Lawrence Avenue East and Markham Road around 7:30 p.m.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
