Toronto Police have released a video of a missing woman with Alzheimer’s as the search for her continues. The woman, 78-year-old Mary Smith, was last seen on Monday morning in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.
According to police, Smith was reported missing by her family after she failed to return home from her daily walk. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and a red scarf.
In the video released by police, Smith can be seen walking on the sidewalk and then turning onto a side street. She appears to be disoriented and confused.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen Smith or has any information on her whereabouts to come forward. They are also urging residents in the area to check their security cameras for any footage that may help in the search.
Smith’s family is extremely worried about her well-being, especially due to her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. They are pleading for anyone with information to contact the police immediately.
The search for Smith has been ongoing since Monday, with police and volunteers combing the area and distributing flyers with her photo. The Toronto Police Service has also utilized their helicopter and K9 unit in the search.
