RCMP in Vernon, B.C., seek public help in locating missing woman

Vernon, British Columbia – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Vernon are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman.

According to authorities, 29-year-old Sarah Smith was last seen on Monday, June 14, 2021, in the area of 30th Avenue and 35th Street in Vernon. She was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, June 15.

Smith is described as Caucasian, 5’6″ tall, with a slim build and long blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, black leggings, and black sandals.

The RCMP have been actively searching for Smith and have been following up on tips and leads from the public. However, she has yet to be located.

Sergeant Colby Attleberger of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP stated, “We are concerned for Sarah’s well-being and are asking anyone who may have seen her or knows of her whereabouts to contact us immediately.”

The RCMP is also asking residents in the area to check their properties, including sheds and outbuildings, as Smith may have sought shelter there.

The RCMP is reminding the public that any information, no matter how small, could be crucial in locating Smith and bringing her home safely.
