A female driver is currently in critical condition after a rollover in Mississauga on Monday evening.
According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue.
The vehicle, a black sedan, was traveling southbound on Hurontario Street when it lost control and rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop on the sidewalk.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the female driver was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the rollover is still under investigation, but police have confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation, but has since reopened.
