Lethbridge Fire and EMS Prepare for Summer with Refreshed River Rescue Training
As the summer season approaches, the Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are gearing up to ensure the safety of residents and visitors who may find themselves in need of assistance on the city’s rivers.
In preparation for the busy summer months, the Lethbridge Fire and EMS recently completed a comprehensive river rescue training program. This training is crucial for emergency responders as they work to prevent and respond to water-related incidents.
The training program, which was held at the Oldman River, covered a variety of scenarios that emergency responders may encounter while conducting river rescues. This included swift water rescue techniques, boat operations, and helicopter hoist training.
