The CEO of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has expressed serious concerns as subway trains on Line 2 approach the end of their design life.
According to TTC CEO Rick Leary, the trains on Line 2, also known as the Bloor-Danforth line, are reaching the end of their expected lifespan. These trains have been in service for over 25 years and are now facing significant wear and tear.
