A man has been arrested in Chestermere, Alberta following a firearms complaint, according to the RCMP.
On May 25th, 2021, at approximately 9:30 PM, Chestermere RCMP responded to a call regarding a man who was allegedly in possession of a firearm. The incident took place in the area of West Chestermere Drive and Rainbow Road.
Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. A search of the suspect’s vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm.
The suspect, who has not been identified, is facing multiple charges including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
