Two suspects are still at large after a chauffeur was allegedly carjacked in a Pickering school parking lot on Monday afternoon.
According to Durham Regional Police, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School on Brock Road.
The chauffeur, who was waiting in the parking lot to pick up a student, was approached by two suspects who demanded his vehicle. The suspects then allegedly assaulted the chauffeur and took off in his car.
The chauffeur sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle, a black 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC300, with Ontario license plate CAVJ 345.
The first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 20 years old, with a slim build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
The second suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 20 years old, with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
