Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a 50-year-old man was assaulted by a stranger on a subway platform.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening at around 7:30 p.m. at the Bloor-Yonge subway station. The victim was standing on the platform when he was approached by an unknown man who proceeded to punch and kick him multiple times.
The victim sustained injuries to his face and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He is currently in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and black pants.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to come forward. They are also urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact them.
