Shooting in Yaletown under investigation, Vancouver police say

Vancouver Police Investigating Shooting in Yaletown

Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the Yaletown neighborhood on Tuesday evening.

According to police, the incident took place around 8:30 pm near the intersection of Hamilton and Nelson streets. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a group of people fleeing the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The area has been cordoned off as investigators gather evidence and speak to witnesses. At this time, no arrests have been made and the motive for the shooting is still unknown.

Residents in the area are advised to avoid the area and to expect delays as the investigation continues.

This is not the first time that Yaletown has been the site of a shooting. In 2019, a man was shot and killed in a targeted attack outside a popular restaurant.
