Kelowna, BC – A new hotel is set to grace the city’s skyline as plans were recently unveiled for a new development in the Ramada parking lot.
The proposed hotel, which will be located at 2170 Harvey Avenue, will feature 120 guest rooms and is expected to bring in a significant boost to the local economy.
According to the developers, the hotel will be a four-storey building with modern amenities and a contemporary design. It will also include a restaurant, meeting rooms, and a fitness center for guests.
The project is a joint venture between the Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre and the Kelowna-based developer, Westcorp. The two companies have a long-standing partnership and have previously worked together on other successful projects in the city.
“We are excited to be working with Westcorp once again to bring this new hotel to Kelowna,” said Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre owner, John Doe. “We believe this development will not only enhance the city’s tourism industry but also provide a much-needed boost to the local economy.”
The hotel is expected to create over 100 new jobs, ranging from front desk staff to housekeeping and management positions. This will provide a significant employment opportunity for the residents of Kelowna, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project has already received approval from the City of Kelowna and is expected to break ground in the coming months. The developers are aiming for a grand opening in the summer of 2023.
