Kelowna RCMP catch excessive speeders during enforcement blitz

Kelowna RCMP have successfully caught several excessive speeders during a recent enforcement blitz in the city.

According to police, the blitz was conducted in response to numerous complaints from the community about speeding and dangerous driving on local roads. The operation was carried out over the course of several days, with officers stationed at various locations throughout the city.

During the blitz, officers were able to catch and ticket several drivers who were travelling at excessive speeds. One driver was caught going 50 km/h over the posted speed limit, while another was clocked at 30 km/h over the limit. These drivers were issued hefty fines and had their vehicles impounded for seven days.

RCMP are reminding drivers to obey posted speed limits and to drive safely and responsibly at all times. They also urge the public to report any instances of dangerous driving to the police.
