On Monday, December 9, 2024 at approximately 10:28am, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Scott Street and Vine Street in the City of St. Catharines, for a bank robbery call for service.

In June of 1995, the remains of a male were recovered from the Niagara River in Niagara Falls, by members of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS). A postmortem was conducted however the male was never positively identified and remained known as “John Doe.” Read more…
