The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has cleared a Toronto police officer of any wrongdoing after a stolen pick-up truck driver died in a fiery crash during a pursuit.
According to the SIU, the incident occurred on December 28, 2021, when the Toronto Police Service (TPS) received a report of a stolen pick-up truck in the city’s east end. The truck was spotted by officers and a pursuit ensued.
