Toronto Police are currently on the lookout for four suspects who are wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at an ATM.
According to authorities, the incident took place on Monday evening at a bank located in the city’s downtown core. The four suspects, who were all wearing masks, allegedly approached the ATM and attempted to steal cash from it.
Fortunately, the suspects were unsuccessful in their attempt and fled the scene before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
The Toronto Police Service has released surveillance footage of the suspects in hopes of identifying and locating them. The footage shows the four individuals wearing dark clothing and masks, with one suspect carrying a crowbar.
Police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward. They are also reminding the public to always be aware of their surroundings when using ATMs and to report any suspicious activity.
This attempted robbery is just one of many incidents that have occurred at ATMs in the city in recent months. In December, a man was arrested for allegedly using a skimming device to steal money from an ATM in the same area.
Authorities are reminding the public to be cautious when using ATMs and to report any suspicious devices or individuals to the police immediately.
In light of this recent incident, the Toronto Police Service is also advising banks to increase security measures at their ATMs to prevent future robberies.
The investigation into this attempted ATM robbery is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Toronto Police Service or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
