Mischief Investigation in St. Catharines Leads to an Arrest

In January of 2024, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced an investigation into a suspect committing multiple mischiefs throughout the City of St. Catharines.

Information was that a suspect would throw a rock through a window of random residential home windows and vehicle windows. There were no injuries as a result of the incidents.

Detectives were able to identify a male suspect and on February 20, 2024, the suspect was arrested.

Michael Green (33 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Mischief Under $5,000 (3 Counts) Fail to comply with probation order

Green was held in custody pending a video bail hearing that is expected to take place on February 21, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with 1 District as there have been more mischiefs throughout the City of St. Catharines. Detectives are asking the public to check their video footage if they know someone in their neighborhood that has been affected by this type of crime recently.  If anything is observed, you are asked to contact police.
