NRPS Detectives are Investigating a Stabbing Incident in Welland

On March 24, 2024, at 1:53am emergency services responded to a residence in Welland for report of stabbing.

3 District (Welland / Pelham) uniform officers arrived on scene at a residence in the area of Cottonwood Crescent and Tumblewood Place.   Officers located a male victim in his 20s suffering from stab injuries. Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics provided treatment to the victim for serious injuries.  He was initially transported to a local hospital and then transported by Ornge air ambulance to an out of region hospital for further care.  

3 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation and have reason to believe that this is not a random event.  Currently there is no ongoing threat to community safety stemming from the incident.  Anyone with information is asked to contact 3 District detectives by calling 905-688-4111, option three extension 1009470.
