Lee, who is known for his discerning palate and extensive knowledge of international cuisine, was invited to Toronto by the city’s tourism board to explore its diverse culinary offerings. “I’ve heard so much about Toronto’s food scene and I was excited to finally experience it for myself,” Lee said.

During his visit, Lee dined at various restaurants, from high-end establishments to hidden gems. He was particularly impressed by the city’s multiculturalism, which is reflected in its food. “Toronto truly is a melting pot of different cultures and that is evident in the food. I was blown away by the variety and authenticity of dishes I tried,” Lee shared.

When asked about his top picks, Lee named Buca Osteria & Bar as his number one choice. “The flavors and presentation of the dishes at Buca were exceptional. It’s clear that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into each dish,” he said. Lee also praised the restaurant’s atmosphere, describing it as “lively and inviting.”

Other restaurants that made it to Lee’s list include Alo, a French fine dining establishment, and Pai, a popular Thai restaurant. “Alo’s tasting menu was a culinary journey that I will never forget. And Pai’s dishes were bursting with bold and authentic flavors,” Lee said.

But it wasn’t just the food that impressed Lee. He also commended the service and hospitality of the staff at each restaurant he visited. “The staff at all the restaurants I dined at were knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel welcome. It definitely added to the overall dining experience,” he shared.

As for his overall impression of Toronto’s food scene, Lee had nothing but praise. “My mind was blown by the quality and diversity of food in Toronto. It’s definitely a city that should be on every food lover’s list,” he said.
