Calgarians will have a chance to voice their opinion on a controversial development at a southwest shopping complex to city council Monday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a special weather statement on Saturday for ‘significant rainfall amounts’ from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.

Mayors from a dozen big cities across Ontario say they want the province to use the notwithstanding clause to pass legislation that would help them handle encampments and addiction in their communities to ensure their requested measures are ‘implemented in a timely and effective way.’
