A man was found lying on the roadway in North York on Monday night, suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to police.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West.
Police say they received a call about a man lying on the road and upon arrival, they found the victim with several stab wounds.
The man was rushed to a trauma centre in serious condition, according to paramedics.
No information about the victim’s identity or age has been released at this time.
Police have not yet provided any information about a possible suspect or motive for the stabbing.
The area was closed off for investigation and police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
