One suspect arrested, another remains outstanding in TTC subway station assault, robbery

Toronto police have made an arrest in connection with an assault and robbery that took place at a TTC subway station earlier this week. However, one suspect remains outstanding and police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating them.

The incident occurred on Monday, April 19th at around 10:30 pm at the Bloor-Yonge subway station. According to police, two suspects approached a 25-year-old man and began assaulting him. They then proceeded to steal his personal belongings before fleeing the scene.

After an investigation, police were able to identify and arrest one of the suspects on Wednesday, April 21st. The 19-year-old male has been charged with robbery and assault causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

However, the second suspect is still at large. Police have released a photo of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating them. The suspect is described as a male in his early 20s, approximately 5’10” with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them immediately. They are also reminding the public to always be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity.

The victim in this incident suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. The TTC has also released a statement, stating that they are cooperating with the police investigation and are committed to ensuring the safety of their passengers.
