Real True News

On the second day of Bluesfest, Ottawa City Councillor Tim Tierney had the opportunity of a lifetime – meeting his rock star idols, Nickelback. The Canadian band, known for their hit songs such as “How You Remind Me” and “Photograph”, took the stage at the festival on Friday night, drawing in a massive crowd of fans.

Tierney, who has been a fan of Nickelback since their early days, was thrilled to finally meet the band in person. “I’ve been a fan of theirs for years and it was such an honor to meet them,” he said. “They are not only incredibly talented musicians, but also great people.”

The meeting between Tierney and Nickelback was made possible by the festival organizers, who arranged for the councillor to have a backstage pass and a meet and greet with the band. Tierney was able to chat with the members of Nickelback and even take a photo with them.

“It was surreal to be able to talk to them and have a photo taken with them,” Tierney said. “They were so down to earth and genuinely interested in talking to me.”

The councillor also took the opportunity to thank the band for their contributions to the Canadian music industry. “Nickelback has put Canada on the map when it comes to rock music and I am proud to have them as fellow Canadians,” he said.

The meeting between Tierney and Nickelback was a highlight of the second day of Bluesfest, which also featured performances by other popular artists such as Bryan Adams and The Killers. The festival, which runs for 10 days, is expected to draw in thousands of music lovers from all over the country.

As the night came to a close, Tierney left the festival with a big smile on his face, grateful for the unforgettable experience. “Meeting Nickelback was definitely a highlight of my time as a city councillor,” he said. “I will always remember this moment.”
