POLICE: Two charged after RIDE stop drug seizure

Two individuals have been charged after a routine traffic stop led to a significant drug seizure, according to police.

On Tuesday, officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the city’s north end. During the stop, police discovered a large quantity of drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.

As a result, two individuals, a 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses. They were both held for a bail hearing and are currently in custody.

The total street value of the drugs seized is estimated to be over $10,000. Police also seized a significant amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.
