Police searching for 3 men after alleged attempt to lure boy, 10, into car in Ajax

Police in Ajax are on the lookout for three men after an alleged attempt to lure a 10-year-old boy into a car.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Westney Road and Rossland Road. The young boy was walking alone when a vehicle pulled up beside him and the occupants attempted to persuade him to get into the car.

The boy immediately ran away and reported the incident to his parents, who then contacted the police. The suspects were described as three men in their 20s, driving a black four-door sedan.

The Durham Regional Police Service has released a composite sketch of one of the suspects, who is described as a white male with a medium build, short dark hair, and a goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and black pants at the time of the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation. They are also reminding parents to speak to their children about the importance of stranger danger and to always report any suspicious activity.
