Ontario votes: Campaign stops and TV appearances after Trump’s tariff announcement

The Ontario election campaign has come to a halt as candidates make their final push for votes before the September 20th election day.

With just days left in the campaign, party leaders are making their last stops in key ridings across the province.

Liberal leader Steven Del Duca made a stop in the riding of York Centre, where he spoke about his party’s plan to invest in healthcare and education.

Meanwhile, Progressive Conservative leader Doug Ford visited the riding of Etobicoke North, where he promised to lower taxes and create jobs.

NDP leader Andrea Horwath made a stop in the riding of Hamilton Centre, where she highlighted her party’s commitment to affordable housing and workers’ rights.

Green Party leader Mike Schreiner visited the riding of Guelph, where he emphasized the importance of addressing climate change and investing in renewable energy.

The People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier made a stop in the riding of Niagara Centre, where he spoke about his party’s stance on immigration and ending lockdowns.

As the campaign comes to a close, polls show a tight race between the Liberals and the Progressive Conservatives, with the NDP and Green Party trailing behind.

Voters are reminded to make their voices heard on September 20th and cast their ballots for the party and leader they believe will best represent their interests and values.
