Kelowna, BC – The Lady of the Lake Society has recently announced the selection of three new ambassadors to represent the iconic Okanagan Lake. The society, which has been in existence since 1953, is responsible for organizing the annual Lady of the Lake pageant and crowning ceremony.

The three new ambassadors, who were chosen from a pool of 12 candidates, are Emma Johnson, Sarah Chen, and Michael Thompson. They will join the current Lady of the Lake, Emily Smith, and her two princesses, Lily Brown and Olivia Garcia, in promoting the beauty and culture of the Okanagan region.

The selection process for the new ambassadors was rigorous and involved multiple rounds of interviews, public speaking, and community involvement. The candidates were judged on their poise, public speaking skills, knowledge of the Okanagan region, and their passion for representing the Lady of the Lake Society.

Emma Johnson, a 19-year-old student at the University of British Columbia, was chosen as the new Lady of the Lake. She impressed the judges with her eloquence and her deep understanding of the history and traditions of the Lady of the Lake pageant. Johnson, who grew up in Kelowna, expressed her excitement and gratitude for being chosen as the new ambassador.

Sarah Chen, a 20-year-old student at Okanagan College, and Michael Thompson, a 21-year-old student at Thompson Rivers University, were selected as the two princesses. Chen, who is originally from China, expressed her love for the Okanagan region and her desire to promote its beauty and diversity. Thompson, a Kelowna native, shared his passion for the Lady of the Lake pageant and his commitment to representing the society with pride.

The Lady of the Lake Society is thrilled to have these three new ambassadors join their team and continue the tradition of promoting the Okanagan region. The society’s president, Karen Brown, expressed her confidence in the new ambassadors and their ability to represent the Lady of the Lake with grace and dignity.

The Lady of the Lake pageant and crowning ceremony will take place on August 2nd, 2021, at the Kelowna Yacht Club. The society invites the community to come and support the new ambassadors as they embark on their journey to promote the beauty and culture of the Okanagan region.
