Kelowna Minor Baseball Team Receives Support Through 50/50 Raffle
The Kelowna Minor Baseball Team is receiving a much-needed boost thanks to a 50/50 raffle organized by the community. The raffle, which is set to take place on July 31st, aims to raise funds for the team’s upcoming season.
The team, which consists of young athletes aged 9 to 12, has faced financial challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. With the cancellation of many fundraising events and a decrease in sponsorships, the team has been struggling to cover the costs of equipment, uniforms, and travel expenses.
In an effort to support the team, the community has come together to organize a 50/50 raffle. The raffle tickets are being sold for $10 each and can be purchased online or in person at various locations throughout Kelowna. The winner of the raffle will receive half of the total amount raised, while the other half will go towards supporting the Kelowna Minor Baseball Team.
According to the team’s coach, John Smith, the support from the community has been overwhelming. “We are incredibly grateful for the community’s support. It means a lot to our young athletes to know that their hard work and dedication is being recognized and supported,” he said.
The Kelowna Minor Baseball Team has been a staple in the community for many years, providing young athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills and passion for the sport. The team has produced many talented players who have gone on to play at higher levels, and the support from the community is crucial in ensuring the team’s continued success.
The 50/50 raffle is not only a chance for community members to win some cash, but it is also a way to show support for the Kelowna Minor Baseball Team and the young athletes who are a part of it. The raffle is open to anyone who wishes to participate, and the team is hoping to reach their fundraising goal of $10,000.
The draw for the raffle will take place on July 31st, and the winner will be announced on the team’s social media pages. The Kelowna Minor Baseball Team is grateful for the support of the community and is looking forward to a successful season with the help of the 50/50 raffle.
