Five individuals have been charged after a drug seizure in Chatham, according to local authorities.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence on Grand Avenue East on Wednesday, resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and cash.
As a result of the search, five individuals were arrested and charged with various drug-related offenses.
A 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Chatham, were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
A 29-year-old man from Chatham was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with a release order.
A 27-year-old man from Chatham was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Lastly, a 26-year-old woman from Chatham was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
All five individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
