Rainfall warning issued for B.C. South Coast as next storm moves in

Lethbridge police say a man wanted on warrants fled from officers in a vehicle and barricaded himself for hours in a home in the southern Alberta city.

Victoria Mboko became the third Canadian to win the hometown tournament in the Open Era, joining Bianca Andreescu in 2019 and Faye Urban in 1969.

Eva Abdul Khalek is grateful. Her cat Luigi survived a fall from their 11th-floor balcony. The family believes the cat snuck out, likely through the balcony door that was left open.
