WWE Legend Edge Shares Heartbreaking Update on His In-Ring Future

In a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin on his podcast, WWE legend Edge opened up about his heartbreaking update on his in-ring future.

The former WWE Champion, who made a triumphant return to the ring at this year’s Royal Rumble after being forced into retirement due to a neck injury in 2011, revealed that he has been dealing with a triceps injury since his match against Randy Orton at Backlash in June.

Edge shared that he has been working through the injury, but it has been a struggle. He stated, “I’ve been dealing with a triceps tear since Backlash. It’s just one of those things where you’re like, ‘Okay, I’ll just deal with it.’ But it’s not getting better. It’s getting worse.”

The Rated-R Superstar also expressed his frustration with the injury, as it has been hindering his training and preparation for his upcoming match against Orton at WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view, SummerSlam.

“I can’t lift weights, I can’t train, I can’t do anything. I can’t even do cardio because I can’t use my arms. So, it’s been very frustrating,” Edge shared.

The 46-year-old wrestler also revealed that he has been seeking medical advice and is currently waiting for the results of an MRI to determine the severity of the injury and the next steps for his recovery.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the highly anticipated rematch between Edge and Orton, which was originally scheduled for WrestleMania 36 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with this recent update, it is uncertain if the match will still take place at SummerSlam.

Edge’s return to the ring has been a remarkable and emotional journey for both him and his fans. After being forced into retirement, he underwent neck surgery and was told by doctors that he would never be able to wrestle again. But he defied the odds and made a miraculous comeback at this year’s Royal Rumble, receiving a thunderous ovation from the crowd.

It is clear that Edge’s passion for wrestling and determination to return to the ring has not wavered, despite the challenges he has faced. Fans around the world are rooting for his speedy recovery and hoping to see him back in action soon.

We will continue to monitor Edge’s injury and provide updates as they become available. Our thoughts are with him during this difficult time, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
