Toronto Police Rescue Man from Icy Waters
In a daring and heroic rescue, Toronto police officers saved a man from the icy waters of Lake Ontario on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. near the foot of Yonge Street, where the man was spotted struggling in the frigid waters. Witnesses immediately called 911, and officers from the Toronto Police Marine Unit were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the officers quickly assessed the situation and determined that the man was in serious danger. Without hesitation, they sprang into action and deployed a rescue boat to reach the man.
