Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Northern British Columbia on May 31 at the school’s convocation ceremony.

In November 2023, members of the Edmonton Police Service’s special project team began an investigation into what they call a drug trafficking network. 

The proposed Alberta legislation would allow for up to $100,000 in fines for individuals, or $1 million for corporations — doubling the maximum penalties now on the books.
