After months of investigation, the Elections Ontario Complaints Committee has officially closed the case against Hardeep Grewal, a candidate in the 2018 provincial election.
The complaint, which was filed by a voter in Grewal’s riding of Brampton East, alleged that the candidate had violated the Elections Act by providing false information on his nomination papers. Specifically, the complaint claimed that Grewal had falsely stated his address as being within the riding, when in fact he lived outside of it.
