A tragic collision on a Saskatchewan highway has claimed the life of a man.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Highway 16 near the town of Langham on Monday afternoon. The man, whose identity has not been released, was driving a pickup truck when he collided with a semi-trailer truck.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer truck was not injured.
The highway was closed for several hours as investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision. It has since been reopened.
The Saskatchewan RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information to come forward and contact them.
