Witnesses wanted in drive-by-shooting in Frog Lake

Frog Lake, Alberta – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are seeking witnesses to a drive-by shooting that occurred in Frog Lake on Monday evening.

According to the RCMP, the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on the Frog Lake First Nation. A vehicle was driving on the main road when shots were fired at another vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting. However, the parked vehicle sustained damage from the bullets.

The RCMP are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has any information about the suspect vehicle.

In a statement, the RCMP said, “We take incidents like this very seriously and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible.”

Frog Lake First Nation Chief, Greg Desjarlais, expressed his concern over the incident, stating, “This type of violence is not acceptable in our community. We are working closely with the RCMP to ensure the safety of our community members.”

The RCMP have not released any information about the suspect vehicle or potential suspects at this time.

The RCMP are reminding the public that they can remain anonymous when providing information to Crime Stoppers and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.

The investigation is ongoing and the RCMP are urging anyone with information to come forward to help bring those responsible to justice.
