Delta Police are currently investigating a concerning incident in which shots were fired into an empty vehicle.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Sunday evening in the 8000 block of 120 Street. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a vehicle fleeing the scene.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a parked vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no one was inside the vehicle at the time and there were no reported injuries.
The Delta Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is appealing to the public for any information or potential witnesses. They are also reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
At this time, the motive for the shooting is unknown and no suspects have been identified. However, police believe this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the general public.
