Two individuals are in critical condition after a serious rollover on Highway 401 in Mississauga, according to paramedics.
The incident occurred on the eastbound lanes of the highway near Hurontario Street around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and found two people trapped inside the vehicle. They were extricated and rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the rollover is still under investigation, but it is believed that speed may have been a factor.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for several hours as police investigated and cleared the scene. They have since been reopened.
