The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 22-year-old North Bay resident following a single motor vehicle collision.
According to OPP, the incident occurred on Sunday evening around 7:30 pm on Highway 11 near the intersection of Highway 654 in the Municipality of Calvin.
The driver, who has not been identified, was traveling southbound on Highway 11 when they lost control of their vehicle and collided with a guardrail.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the collision.
After further investigation, the OPP charged the driver with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The OPP would like to remind all drivers to exercise caution and drive safely, especially during inclement weather conditions.
