Two men have been identified as the victims of a fatal shooting in North York, according to police.
The incident occurred on Monday evening at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue.
The two men, identified as 27-year-old Jaiden Jackson and 25-year-old Tyronne Noseworthy, were found with gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that the two men were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by suspects who opened fire. The suspects then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
Investigators are currently working to determine a motive for the shooting and are appealing to the public for any information or witnesses who may have seen or heard anything related to the incident.
The Toronto Police Service has also released surveillance footage of the suspects’ vehicle in hopes of identifying them.
This tragic incident marks the city’s 78th homicide of the year, according to police statistics.
