Arrest made 2 years after stabbing death in downtown Kelowna

Kelowna, British Columbia – A suspect has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a man in Kelowna.

According to the Kelowna RCMP, the incident occurred on Friday evening in the 200 block of Bernard Avenue. Police were called to the scene around 9:45 p.m. and found a man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Kelowna resident, John Doe. His family has been notified of his death.

After an investigation, the RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the stabbing. He is currently in police custody and is facing charges of second-degree murder.

The RCMP has not released the name of the suspect, but they have confirmed that he and the victim were known to each other. They also believe that the incident was targeted and that there is no risk to the public.
