North Bay Police have arrested a city man for drug trafficking and weapons offences.

According to a press release from the North Bay Police Service, the arrest was made on Tuesday, May 4th, after a lengthy investigation by the Street Crime Unit.

The 35-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody without incident. He is facing multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police also seized a significant amount of drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, as well as a loaded handgun and other weapons.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
