Three young boys, aged 12, 13, and 14, have been charged in connection with an armed robbery in Fort Erie.
According to police, the incident occurred on Monday evening at a convenience store on Garrison Road. The three boys, who cannot be named due to their age, allegedly entered the store armed with a weapon and demanded money from the cashier.
The store employee complied with their demands and the boys fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.
After an investigation, the three boys were arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon and disguise with intent. They appeared in court on Tuesday and have been remanded into custody.
Police are reminding the public that anyone under the age of 18 cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They are also urging parents to speak to their children about the serious consequences of committing crimes.
