Calgary was buzzing with excitement as some of the world’s best b-boys and b-girls gathered for the Red Bull BC One qualifying event. The competition, held at the Big Four Building, showcased the incredible talent and skill of these dancers.
The event, which is part of the global Red Bull BC One series, saw over 100 dancers from across Canada and the United States battle it out for a chance to compete in the World Final in Poland later this year. The competition was fierce, with each dancer bringing their own unique style and moves to the stage.
The judges, who are all respected members of the b-boy and b-girl community, had the difficult task of selecting the top 16 dancers to move on to the next round. They were looking for creativity, originality, and technical ability in each performance.
One of the highlights of the event was the showcase battle between two of the top b-boys in the world, Issei from Japan and Victor from the United States. The two dancers wowed the crowd with their incredible moves and energy, leaving the judges with a tough decision to make.
In the end, it was Issei who came out on top, securing his spot in the World Final. He will be joined by 15 other talented dancers, including local b-boy, Bboy J-Soul, who impressed the judges with his unique style and stage presence.
The event also featured a special performance by the Red Bull BC One All Stars, a group of elite b-boys and b-girls who have won the World Final in the past. They showed off their skills and inspired the next generation of dancers.
