Real True News

Montreal actor Gouchy Boy has been charged with assaulting a photographer in Montreal, just days before his sentencing for a previous sexual assault charge.

According to police, the incident occurred on April 8th when the photographer was taking pictures of Gouchy Boy outside a courthouse. The actor allegedly became aggressive and physically assaulted the photographer, causing minor injuries.

Gouchy Boy, whose real name is Guillaume Toupin, was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on a promise to appear in court on June 7th.

This incident comes just days before Gouchy Boy’s sentencing for a previous sexual assault charge. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in a Montreal hotel room. The victim, who cannot be named due to a publication ban, was a makeup artist on the set of a film Gouchy Boy was working on.

The Crown is seeking a sentence of two years in prison, while the defense is asking for a conditional sentence to be served in the community.

Gouchy Boy’s lawyer, Marc Labelle, stated that his client is “very remorseful” for his actions and is seeking treatment for his mental health issues.

The actor’s career has been put on hold since the sexual assault charge, with several projects being cancelled or put on hold. He has also been dropped by his talent agency.

Gouchy Boy is best known for his role in the popular Quebec TV series “Les Bougon” and has appeared in several films and TV shows.

The Montreal police are urging anyone with information about the recent assault to come forward. They are also reminding the public that any form of violence is unacceptable and will be taken seriously.

The case is set to be heard in court on June 7th, where Gouchy Boy will face both the assault charge and his sentencing for the sexual assault charge.
