A man is now in police custody after leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit through multiple cities and towns.
The incident began on Tuesday afternoon when police received reports of a reckless driver in the area. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old John Smith, was allegedly driving at dangerous speeds and weaving in and out of traffic.
Police attempted to pull Smith over, but he refused to stop and instead accelerated, leading officers on a chase through several cities and towns. The pursuit lasted for over an hour and covered a distance of approximately 100 kilometers.
