Hamilton police are currently on the lookout for suspects involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Monday evening.
According to authorities, the incident took place in the area of Barton Street East and Wentworth Street North around 7:30 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing two individuals shooting at each other before fleeing the scene.
No injuries have been reported at this time, but police have confirmed that several vehicles and buildings in the area were struck by bullets.
The suspects are described as two males, both wearing dark clothing and possibly in their late teens or early twenties. They were last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing to the public for any information or surveillance footage that may assist in identifying the suspects. They are also urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
The area has been cordoned off as officers continue to gather evidence and search for the suspects. Residents are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
