B.C. teen composes music to honour soldier killed on D-Day

A talented teenager from British Columbia has composed a moving piece of music to honor a soldier who lost his life on D-Day.

16-year-old Ethan Allard was inspired to create the piece after learning about the sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers during World War II. He chose to focus on the story of Private George Price, a soldier from British Columbia who was killed on November 11, 1918, just two minutes before the Armistice was declared.

Allard, who has been playing the piano since he was five years old, spent months researching and composing the piece. He wanted to capture the emotions and experiences of Price and his fellow soldiers.

The result is a hauntingly beautiful composition titled “Two Minutes to Remember.” Allard describes it as a “musical tribute” to Price and all the soldiers who fought and died for their country.

The piece was recently performed at a Remembrance Day ceremony in Price’s hometown of Cloverdale, British Columbia. Allard played the piano while a local choir sang along, creating a powerful and emotional tribute to the fallen soldier.

Allard hopes that his music will help keep the memory of Price and other soldiers alive for future generations. He believes that it is important to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The young composer’s dedication and talent have not gone unnoticed. He has received praise and recognition from local politicians and veterans, who have commended him for his meaningful contribution to Remembrance Day.

Allard’s music serves as a reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of Canadian soldiers, and the importance of never forgetting their legacy. As we continue to honor and remember those who have served, Allard’s composition will undoubtedly hold a special place in the hearts of many.
