'Just tell me this is a dead end': N.Y. woman frustrated by investigation after car stolen at Montreal airport

A New York woman is feeling frustrated and helpless after her car was stolen from the Montreal airport. The incident has left her questioning the effectiveness of the investigation and the safety of the airport’s parking lot.

According to the victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, she had parked her car in the long-term parking lot at the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport on April 25th. When she returned from her trip on May 2nd, she discovered that her car was missing.

“I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe I had parked in the wrong spot, but then I realized my car was actually stolen,” she said.

The victim immediately reported the theft to the airport authorities and the Montreal police. However, she claims that the response she received was less than satisfactory.

“I was told that there are no cameras in the parking lot and that there was nothing they could do. It’s frustrating because I feel like there’s no real effort being made to find my car,” she explained.

The victim’s car is a black 2018 Honda Civic with New York license plates. She is concerned that the car may have been taken across the border and sold for parts.

“I just want my car back. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle. I followed all the rules and parked in the designated area, but my car still got stolen. It’s not fair,” she said.

The Montreal airport has not yet responded to requests for comment on the incident. However, a spokesperson for the Montreal police confirmed that they are investigating the theft and are working with the airport authorities to gather any potential evidence.

In the meantime, the victim is left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the lack of progress in the investigation.

“I just want some answers. I want to know that something is being done to find my car. It’s been almost a month and I still have no closure,” she said.

The victim is urging anyone with information about the stolen car to come forward and contact the Montreal police. She hopes that by speaking out, she can prevent this from happening to someone else in the future.
