Fatal crash in southwest Calgary closes ramp to Tsuut'ina Trail

A tragic accident in southwest Calgary has resulted in the closure of a major ramp to Tsuut’ina Trail.

According to authorities, the crash occurred on the evening of Tuesday, May 25th, at the intersection of Glenmore Trail and 37 Street SW. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8:30 PM.

Upon arrival, they found a single vehicle that had collided with a concrete barrier. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ramp from eastbound Glenmore Trail to Tsuut’ina Trail was closed for several hours as police investigated the incident. It has since been reopened.

The identity of the driver has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
