On Monday, March 18, 2024 at approximately 2:30am, 3 District (Welland) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Leaside Drive and Woodlawn Road in the City of Welland regarding a stabbing.
Investigation revealed that an adult male had entered a dispute with two males and one male had been stabbed as a result. Niagara Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and assessed the male victim. He was transported to an out of region hospital by ORNGE with life threatening injuries. The victim is now in stable condition.
It is in the early stages of the investigation and it remains ongoing by detectives with 3 District. Detectives are actively working to get a description of the suspect/s.
